Why Arbor
Built for
the lingerers.
ARBOR began with a simple frustration: nowhere in the neighbourhood let you stay. Cafés turned tables in forty minutes. Libraries shut at five. We wanted a room somewhere in between.
The timber
Every table has a past.
The oak came out of a Brunswick wool store demolished in 2023. We spent a winter planing it back, keeping the nail holes and the grain that had gone dark with a century of lanolin.
It is why the tables are heavy, a little uneven, and warm to the touch by mid-morning.

The cup
Careful, not fussy.
We work with two small Melbourne roasters and change the filter offering with the seasons. Every shot is weighed. Nobody will lecture you about it.
